Who am I?

Enough About Me

I’ve been accused of being an introspective and observant human. I stand balanced between the ordinary (practical) and the extra-ordinary (spiritual), which I’ve heard are the same. My introverted intuition – oh yes, a rare male INFJ, run now before I peer deep into your soul – lets me handle paradoxes and see across cosmic spans while I miss the plainly obvious. I drink deeply from East and West, those two great streams of life. Learning comes to me via books, dreams, and relationships. I hope to get everyone, myself included, to see that there is not a thing wrong with any of us.

To maintain sanity in the circus called modernity, I employ a few strange, highly personal, and somewhat obsessive daily practices of breath control, balance, temperature shifts, thought observation, and prayers to my daimon. To remind myself of being alive I like to rock climb, juggle, unicycle, slackline, and run trails. My Dionysian side is happy if I write poetry or standup comedy, paint, or dance terribly. I speak four and a quarter languages and am consequently tongue-tied when faced with a beautiful sunrise.

“As far as we can tell, the sole purpose of human existence is to shine a light into the darkness of mere Being.”
